chekhov's album cover

Today one of my housemates dusted off the xbox 360 for the first time in a while to test some CDs. I found out about this after hearing some beefy edm music from my room.

He tells me it's Ninajirachi - I Love My Computer. It sounds familiar. The album cover confirms that I have indeed seen this somewhere before. image.png

But which vaguely wistful, AI-sceptical blogpost was the one where I originally glanced over this striking image without actually listening to the music itself? I was prepared for a long, long, (longer than that) longass cyber pursuit of my own internet history, not unlike the time I tried really hard to recall anything about the game Martial Masters after seeing a YouTube longplay of it some time ago, whereupon I nearly concluded that the Robert Garcia-like character I remembered seeing must've been a false memory like how everyone thinks "Berenstain Bears" is supposed to be spelled.

Fortunately, a few seconds of "trying to remember" suggested that Andrew Kelley's blog was a good place to look. And sure enough, there it was.

Who'd have thought some guy who writes a programming language on the other side of the planet and a person living in the same building as I do would be connected by the same taste in an Australian EDM artist who debuted this time last year?

Maybe I'll listen to the whole album sometime.
